RUSTY INDUSTRY NEEDS YOU!

In a quiet farming community on the outskirts of the capitol city, a community of peasants makes an incredible discovery: beneath their fields lay the ruins of an advanced society. All of this commotion quickly comes to the attention of the Rusty King, the boisterous monarch of the land, whose love of riches knows no bounds. The king devises an ingenious plan to establish a great industrial empire: assemble the brightest minds across the continents, divide the rusty ruins of old industry among them, and pit them against each other to compete for a hefty sum of the profits.

You play as one of the king’s chosen entrepreneurs: buying buildings, trading with competitors, and upgrading your facilities to maximize your product output. Complete orders and clash with rivals to build your industrial empire from the ground up. The future of your company–and your new empire–depends on it!

Oh! There is one more thing. You must hurry! Space on ships in the port is limited. Next ships will be in the port in a couple of months. That’s why there is a limited number of contracts and Export Crates. You need to fill as much space as you can before your opponents!

This is your lifetime opportunity. Imagine all the investments you dreamed about: the top-notch steam technology, additional terrains for building factories and extending your buildings. All you must do is to score the most points to get all the sweet money.

There is no time to waste! Hurry! Remember all the tricks up your sleeve.

GIMME FIVE (MINUTES)

Economic games, especially those with many resource types, tend to come with lengthy rulebooks, complicated terminology, and rounds of confusion for new players. Rusty Industry gameplay is very intuitive and can be taught within five minutes. Most players will be on board in a round or two--even our non-gamers were confidently playing in no time! Five minutes is all it takes...same as making a hot tea or ordering a drink at a bar.

FEELING RUSTY ? GETTING STARTED

Build and upgrade a vast assortment of buildings to generate resources. Be the first to produce a resource type and sell to the other players as a monopoly. Utilize your opponents’ needs to bolster your industrial empire, gaining economy points and victory points along the way.

Are you producing a ton of goods, but don’t have the factories to earn you points? No problem! Every round, new order cards will pop up. Fulfill these orders and earn one victory point for each.

The port is another great way to utilize your extra goods. Exchange them here for export crates!

Are you planning on setting up a cushy financial empire and being set for life? Forget about it! There is a limited number of export crates up for grabs. Concentrate too much on resource production and your rivals will snap up these crates! Can’t have that now, can we? Get yourself in the game and know when it’s time to start scoring points. Don’t be fooled by the symbiotic nature of economy-building. Winning is your only concern.

Paying for a building:

Basic building:

Pay its cost in the top left corner.

Auction building:

Pay its cost in the top left corner and a cost shown in a circle above a space, that the card is on.

After paying for a building card place it in front of you. You can upgrade or use it the same turn. Remember, that it will produce no goods this turn. You can produce Export Crates the same turn.

TRADE

(unlimited per turn)

You can sell your goods to other players or place them on the trading board so that they can buy them outside of your turn. Prices for goods sold and bought from other players are negotiable. For every good, that you sell to other players, you get one Economy Point.

There are no rules restricting prices set among players. You can sell any number of them to other players.

You can sell up to 2 goods to the bank from your trading board or your resource pool. By building a market, you can increase this limit.

You can buy as many goods from the bank as you want. The price chart regulates transactions with the bank. For every good that you buy from the reserve, you lose one Economy Point.

UPGRADE BUILDINGS

(unlimited per turn)

Pay cost shown in a circle between your current and next level of the building (right side of a card), that you want to upgrade. Move the level marker one space down. The upgrade works from now on.
